This was a really fun and challenging edit. With a complex (and slightly improvised) multicam studio setup and over 6 hours of footage, the first major task was file management. As I organised the rushes I started to get a feel for each contestant’s personality and chemistry with Seb, who I’ve had the pleasure of editing before. He’s a larger than life character on camera, so I often let his energy motivate movement and pace.
Following two rounds of feedback I tightened an early draft with a runtime of around 45min down to lean 24min. I was the sole editor on this project from assembly to delivery, approx. 40 hours in total.
